Steel Fire Box vs Fire Brick Lined

At Bonfires we only use fully fire brick lined fireboxes for the following reasons:

1. Steel fireboxes with the constant heating and cooling rust extremely quickly
2. Firebrick lined fireboxes absorb a huge amount of heat that creates a large thermal mass that radiates outward
3. Our quality firebricks are very long lasting, however, should they need to be replaced, it’s a fairly simple process
